Dipti Bondre, born in 1972, is a distinguished artist with an extensive educational background. She completed her BFA in Drawing and Painting from Sir J.J School of Fine Art, Mumbai (1987-92), followed by a Diploma in Ceramics/Pottery from Sophia Polytechnic, Mumbai (1995). She furthered her studies with an MFA in Computer Graphics from the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing, Pune (1995-96), and pursued additional artistic education with an MFA in Diploma Structure and Composition at The Arts Students League of New York, New York (2010). In 2015, she completed a Diploma in Serigraphy from ScuolaInternazionale di Grafica, Venice.
Her solo exhibitions include Turkey: Crossroads of the World at Gallery Art & Soul, Mumbai (2016), Ode to Bosphorus: Glimpses of Istanbul through Yantras at Gallery Art Positive and the Turkish Embassy in New Delhi (2015), Rasa at The Monalisa Kalagram, Pune (2015), The Third Dimension at Gallery Art & Soul, Mumbai (2011), White Noise in Upper Westchester, New York (2010), Tianu World at Tianu: The Furniture Company, Mumbai (2010), and Epiphany at Gallery Art & Soul, Mumbai (2009). Her awards and accomplishments are numerous. In 2019, she was granted a patent for her invention, “Image that changes with light” (Patent number 310677). She was awarded residencies at l’Alliance Française Paris Ile-de-France, Paris (2016), ScuolaInternazionale Di Grafica, Venice (2015), and Takt Art Residency, Berlin (2013). In 2010, she received a full scholarship for the VytlacilValcav Residency at The Art Students League of New York. Earlier in her career, she was recognized for innovative painting at the Monsoon Show, Jehangir Art Gallery, Mumbai (1992) and was nominated among the top ten paintings for the Maharashtra State Art Award, Mumbai (1990).
